"FREE" BAKING/COOKING CLASSES

Most classes at the Bosch Kitchen Centers are FREE, and emphasize a healthier life-style for you and your family, however during the holiday season and due to limited space some classes require a small fee. Please check each class carefully. We demonstrate all of our major machines and base our concepts on the usage of fresh ground whole-grain flours. In each class we demonstrate both the Flour Mill and the Bosch Mixer's ability to produce a variety of whole-grain and nutritious white breads, and also our Pressure Cookers & stainless-steel gadgets that make life easier for you as you learn new techniques. Most of the items and gadgets we use during class are on sale for that week. For you frequent attenders, we're always adding "new recipes" and "new classes" that should keep you coming back to learn more and having a great time. Southwest White Chicken Chile with Verde Sauce

In 5 liter pressure cooker saute:

2 Tbsp garlic oil
1 medium onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced

Until onions are transparent.

Add:

3 cups small white or navy beans
8 cups water mixed with 1/2 cup chicken broth powder
1 Tbsp crystallized ginger
Bring to a boil. Place pressure lid on and pressure at second red ring for 45 minutes.
Drop pressure under cold water.

Add:

4 boneless chicken breasts OR 12-16 tenders, cubed
12 oz. frozen white corn
8 oz. diced green chilies
1 tsp cumin
juice from 2 limes
Add mixture to beans in pressure cooker and pressure at second red ring for an additional
5 minutes. Drop pressure under cold water. To serve top with verde sauce crushed tortilla
chips, cheese and sour cream.

Verde Sauce:

4-6 tomatillos 6 green onions 1/2 cup fresh cilantro leaves
8 pickled jalapeno slices 1 clove garlic 1/2 tsp oregano
Juice of 1 lime Herbamare to taste 1 Tbsp sugar (optional)

Combine all ingredients in Bosch blender and blend for 1 minute.

Bosch Center's White Macadamia Nut Cookies

In the Bosch bowl with the cookie paddles, cream:

1 cup softened butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar

Add:

2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp vanilla
beat thoroughly.

In a large bowl, mix together:

2 cups unbleached flour
1 1/2 cups oatmeal (blend in the blender until fine)
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp. Rumford baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 cup ultra gel
Change to the dough hook and add dry ingredients to the creamed mixture. Mix thoroughly.

Add:

Add: 1-3 cups chunked white chocolate or white chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups chopped macadamia nuts

Mix thoroughly. Using #50 cookie scoop, form cookies and place them 1" apart on a parchment lined cookie sheet
